Yes. Unlike standard protein shakes found in grocery stores, AmBari shakes are formulated for the restricted stomach capacity and specific metabolic needs of weight loss surgery patients. Each serving provides a "Golden Ratio" of around 15g of high-quality protein at only 100 calories.
We use a blend featuring Calcium Caseinate in most of our shakes, which is a slow-digesting protein. While Whey absorbs quickly, Caseinate forms a "gel" in your pouch that provides a sustained release of amino acids. This helps keep you fuller for longer periods, which helps with managing hunger between small meals.
Standard preparation is with cold water. But low-fat milk and almond milk both mix perfectly with these shakes and also adds some extra protein. Many customers say that they prefer milk or almond milk because it brings out the flavor of the shake a bit more and has a creamier consistency.
